Edward J. Fox is the W.R. and Judy Howell Director of the JCPenney Center for
Retail Excellence and Assistant Professor of Marketing at Southern Methodist
University’s Cox School of Business. His research and consulting work focus on
retail management, shopping behavior, customer relationship management, and
marketing decision-making. Professor Fox earned both Doctoral and Master of
Arts degrees in marketing at the Wharton School at the University of
Pennsylvania. Previously, he had earned Master Business Administration and
Master of Science degrees from Northwestern University, as well as a Bachelor of
Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Before
coming to the Cox School, Professor Fox was the Research Director of the Center
for Retail Management and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Marketing at the J.L.
Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. His articles
have been published in scholarly journals, including Marketing Science, Journal
of Marketing Research and Journal of Business,and in the trade press.
